Knock knock (2015)

As I said there are some logical issues that I had with some of the things that happen throughout the picture and at times you want to hit Evan over the head yourself for doing some foolish things. Most importantly is that all three have some good chemistry no matter what they're doing. Both Izzo and de Armas are good in their roles as they both play erotic very well and I thought they also managed to be believable in the more deadly nature. This includes playing that lovable father but he also handles the seduction scenes quite well and the various scenes where he is being tortured both physically and mentally. Reeves does a nice job in the role that requires quite a bit from him. The performances are for the most part good. Again, I'm not going to ruin the plan of these women but it's an interesting idea and I think the story is good enough to hold your attention throughout. I thought the director did a very good job at establishing the Evan character by showing him to be a good guy but of course even the best of people can make a mistake, which could change their life. On a technical level this is the best thing I've seen from Roth has he actually does a very good job in the directing department and there's no question that the film is well-made. Again, if you're wanting high art then this isn't going to be for you but for my money it was a nice erotic thriller that was at least entertaining throughout.

I'm not going to spoil what happens throughout the movie but I thought the twists were rather good and for the most part we got some nice performances. Eli Roth is best known for his sadistic horror movies but he tries something different here and while the film is highly flawed I thought it was good enough for what it was trying to do. The next day Evan realizes his mistake and tries to get rid of the women but soon he realizes they have different plans. Both women are wet and cold so Evan invites them into his house to wait for a taxi but they soon seduce them into a threesome. Be careful in that regard because what seems like sugar and spice might not end up being all that nice.Knock Knock (2015) *** (out of 4) Husband and father Evan Webber (Keanu Reeves) is home alone working during a storm when two ladies (Lorenza Izzo, Ana de Armas) knock on his door asking for directions. You just never know who will knock on your door. Also, the awesome cast builds the suspense all the way up to the climatic ending.

I absolutely loved it because the story was one I had not come across yet. Knock Knock tells the tale of temptation and the consequences that often follow. I think we will be seeing much more from them. She helps bring across the dark comedic nature that he is known for. Personally, I feel it is a fantastic move for Roth to utilize her in his films. The Green Inferno broadcasts her running for her life while Knock Knock portrays her as a villain.

Both films show her acting range and how she is capable of switching up roles. How is that for an absolute contradiction? Believe me when I say that these bitches are crazy!ĭid you know that Lorenzo Izzo is actually married to director Eli Roth ? She has appeared in a few of his movies including the 2013 film, The Green Inferno. They really brought out the darkness in their characters even though the situation makes it really hard to dislike them. Izzo and Armas are great in this film as well. He is a very adaptable actor, not to mention very easy on the eyes. I don’t think I’ve met a film of his that I didn’t like. He also makes you question whether or not he really is “father of the year” or if this is a lifestyle he keeps on the down low.

I felt he did a phenomenal job as he showed just how hard temptation can be to resist. Unlike his action roles in Point Break and Speed, Knock Knock shows us a different side of Keanu Reeves. In my opinion, the acting is what really brought this film to life. While I’m certainly not a fan of that concept, Knock Knock takes that idea in a different direction and you will certainly not want to miss it. However, it does revolve around the sore subject of cheating. The story is super sexy, suspenseful, and on its way to becoming a cult classic. I cannot stress enough about how much I love this movie.
