The controls are easy to understand, allowing you to focus on everything from the first-person view. You can run, crouch, jump, jab, punch, kick, pick up weapons, and throw pretty much anything that you come across. At its core, it is a simple action game that is grounded and intuitive. Paint The Town Red is a flawless power fantasy that beautifully combines both brutality and creativity. “While combat can be gruesome, the boxed heads and body parts add a comical layer to the mayhem.” Paint The Town Red proves that when you stick to the tried and true, polish alone can be novel. That being said, some games can achieve greatness by keeping things simple. Some standard features can even be brought down by the poor implementation of others. Newer features can lack the level of polish that makes a good game great. While I have a penchant for the experimental side of gaming, I recognise that it comes with its own struggles. For me, gaming is a lot about familiarising myself with the unknown. I love exploring new territory, be it an innovative crafting system or a novel take on combat. However, the cute cartoonish visuals don’t let you take everything that happens seriously.Ingenuity is a trait I actively seek out when searching for games. It should be said that the scenes can get pretty messy, especially given that you can chop off the foe’s head with one strike or disembody him with a special degree of cruelty. The heads of your opponents are also square, which makes the game similar to Lego and Minecraft franchises. Everything is painted in squares, even pool balls and drops of blood. You have no real weapon with you, so you’ll have to use the objects on the location instead. But it isn’t going to be as easy as you would like it to be. You have no choice but to defend yourself. All of a sudden, everyone stars yelling and rushing at you with an obvious intention to end your life before time. It all happens in the blink of an eye, while celebrating another profitable heist. And just when your mission seems to be nearing its end, something goes wrong and your true identity is revealed. For quite a long time, you manage to successfully pass yourself as a bad guy. The main character is an undercover agent whose task is to mix in with a famous gang of robbers responsible for some of the loudest crimes of the past decade. This crazy first-person melee fighting game will provide you with a decent dose of adrenaline and many hours of fascinating gameplay!
Paint the Town Red is definitely a good stress-reducing option. And while many people would argue that’s not very healthy, you can’t deny that shooting and stabbing virtual enemies is much better than getting it out on your nearest and dearest.
